Bachchans are forever Amar

It was a Bollywood star wives club on the occasion of the kidney transplant of Samajwadi party leader Amar Singh in Singapore, which thankfully, was conducted successfully on July 10.

With such high glamour women around him, maybe Amar Singh won’t miss the absence of two of his closest peeps, Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt, who were unable to make it to Singapore. Big B was absent because he, himself, was keeping unwell; as Jaya Bachchan succinctly puts it “My husband’s intestine keeps twisting.” And the newest convert to the Amar Singh camp, Sanjay Dutt was denied a visa.

But the wives kept up the social appearance by remaining faithfully alongside the ailing and bed-ridden politician. Jaya ushered Amar into the surgery room, where Sanju baba’s wife Maanyata soon joined the first lady of Bollywood. Daughter-in-law Aishwarya put a hold on her shooting commitments for Shankar’s Robot to be with the family friend. While the other Jaya; Jaya Prada briefly hopped in and out to check on the condition of her political mentor.

The Bachchan women and Maanyata stuck with the political honcho till he was declared out of danger.

Becoming the official spokesperson of Amar Singh; Jaya Bachchan told the media, “Amar Singh is recovering well and will be back on his feet soon.”

Well with Sanju baba’s wife Maanyata coming back to Mumbai yesterday morning, looks like Bachchan are the only ones hanging with Amar Singh in Singapore.
