For Salman’s show, Preity was the cheerleader

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta played the role of a perfect cheerleader for dear friend Salman Khan whose “Being Human” show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday saw many celebrities strutting down the ramp.

Dressed in a “Being Human” sleeveless T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever.

Sitting with her friend choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and fashion designer Manish Malhotra, the actress started shouting from the very first moment when Salman Khan started the show and sashayed down the ramp.

“Wow! Salman! Salman!,” shouted Zinta and continued clapping till he left the ramp.

It was not just for Salman, she also cheered for other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan with equal enthusiasm.

Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra joined her and together left no stone unturned to pep up the atmosphere.

“I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. It celebrated togetherness of the industry and this is what had me do all the shouting. But it is worth it,” Preity said after the show.

Commenting on Aamir Khan’s ramp debut, she said that the actor looked cute.

“I think he was looking very cute on the ramp. He is already so charming and you can’t take that away from him,” she said.

Preity to have her own chat show

Preity Zinta is being paid Rs. 10 crore for hosting a 20 episode chat show which will premiere on TV in mid-December. The Preity Zinda Show, as it is called, will have Preity interviewing celebrity guests and will be a weekly show.

Last week, the channel’s officials met her and finalized the deal in Los Angeles. Preity is awaiting her television debut eagerly. But as of now, the news is being kept under the wraps and no one is allowed to say anything about it this soon.

Preity Zinta dances free of cost for Salman!

Preity Zinta has not charged a single penny from the Khan’s for the 
brief appearance she makes in Sohail Khan Productions Main Aur Mrs. 
Khanna.

A source said, “Preity and Salman have been good friends. The 
two have done some of the most remarkable films together. Chori Chori 
Chupke Chupke was hit. Jaaneman was a hit too.”


Preity feels that Salman is man with a heart of gold.

“Salman has stood by Preity whenever she needed him. So this time when they
 approached Preity to do a brief appearance in Main Aur Mrs. Khanna, Preity said yes instantly. Preity let money matters take a back seat and said that she was just happy being a part of that film,” said the source.

Preity Zinta endorses D’Damas

Preity Zinta has been roped in as the new brand ambassador of D’Damas. The diva is endorsing the bridal jewelry for the wedding and festive season.

Our reliable source confirms, “After stream of bolly-divas such as Amrita Rao, Lara Dutta, Neetu Chandra and Celina Jaitley who have adorned the brand with their elegance, Preity is all geared up to add on with her modishness.”

“The bridal jewelry comprises of diamonds, which Preity is very fond of,” our source signs off.

Preity’s Item Number For Salman!

Preity Zinta would be seen for a special song in UTV’s and Sohail khan Production’s “Main Aur Mrs. Khanna”. A source said, “Preity was specially made to travel to Dubai for a single day to shoot for the song. The song is a delight to watch and gets your foot tapping to its groovy tunes. The production team had to spend a fortune on that single day outdoor shoot for Preity, as Director Prem Soni required a huge open air theater for the song, which they managed to get in Dubai.”

“When Preity and director Prem Soni were thinking who could choreograph the song, they could only think of one person that time, and it was Farah Khan. Preity was very keen on having Farah choreograph the song, and also Prem Soni always wanted to work with Farah Khan. As Farah agreed to choreograph the song, both Preity and Prem Soni were happy and felt very lucky,” adds the source.

A unit member said, “Preity had a ten day rehearsal with Farah Khan before she started shooting for the song. Everyday she would rehearse for 3 hours. She also was on a special diet and hardcore workout and yoga and swimming sessions to be in shape for the song.”
